This 20 days’ tour will take you to two countries, Uganda and Rwanda where you will see the best of both countries. From Entebbe in Uganda you will visit Murchison Falls National Park for big game viewing and for an unforgettable boat cruise to the foot of Murchison Falls on the Nile River. You will then travel to Kibaale Forest National Park for chimpanzee tracking and afterwards you will go to Queen Elizabeth National Park (QENP) where you will enjoy game viewing and bird watching as well as a boat cruise on the Kazinga Channel, famous for its teeming wildlife on its banks; from QENP you will head to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park for tracking mountain gorillas and then you will cross the border into Rwanda and visit Musanze caves, Diana Fossey Memorial, Nyuungwe Forest National Park, all before you do a Kigali City tour and before you visit the Akagera National Park for a big game safari. You will cross the border again and visit Lake Mburo National Park in Uganda, after which you will drive to Entebbe Airport via the Equator for your flight back home.

Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival at Entebbe International Airport. Travel to Kampala and spend the night at Hotel Africana.

Travel from Kampala to Murchison Falls National Park. Spend the night at Bwana Tembo Safari Camp.

Day 3: Explore Murchison Falls National Park; again stay at Bwana Tembo Safari Camp.

Travel from Murchison to Kibaale Forest National Park for chimpanzee tracking. Spend the night at Big Pig Hotel.

In the morning do chimp tracking; afterwards proceed to Queen Elizabeth National Park. Spend the night at Kasenyi Lodge.

Do a morning game drive in Queen Elizabeth National Park; do a boat cruise on Kazinga Channel and spend the night at Kasenyi Lodge.

Travel from Queen Elizabeth National Park to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest for gorilla tracking via the Ishasha sector for tree climbing lions. Spend the night at Ruhiija Lodge.

From Bwindi Ruhija Lodge do a morning gorilla tracking expedition. In the afternoon proceed to Kisoro via Echuya Forest for Batwa (Pygmies) visit and spend the night at Sawasawa Guest House in Kisoro. (The other option is to track gorillas in Mgahinga National Park in Kisoro District.)

Take two hours Coffee Tour in Kisoro and proceed to Rwanda via Musanze. Spend the night at Muhavura Guest House.

In the morning visit the Diana Fossey Memorial then proceed to Musanze Caves and Musanze Town. Again spend the night at Muhavura Guest House.

In the early morning do a hike to Karisimbi or to Mt. Bisoke or go for golden monkey tracking in Mgahinga Mountain. Spend another night at Muhavura Guest House.

Visit Nyungwe Forest National Park and spend the night at Nyungwe Lodge.

In the morning go for chimpanzee tracking. Again stay at Nyungwe Lodge.

In the morning go for canopy walk and then proceed to Huye Town. Spend the night at Wisdom Village.

Visit Huye Museum and spend the night at Wisdom Village.

Kigali City Tour will take you to Kigali Genocide Memorial, Kigali Museum (Kandi House) then visit Kigali City. Spend the night at Marriot Hotel.

Visit the Akagera National Park and do an afternoon game drive. Stay at Rusizi Hotel of Akagera Campsite.

Do a morning game drive and in the afternoon do a boat cruise in Lake Ihema. Stay the night at Rusizi Hotel or Akagera Campsite.

Travel from Akagera National Park in Rwanda to Lake Mburo National Park in Uganda. If time allows do an evening game drive and spend the night at Arcadia Hotel or Rwakobu Hotel.

Day 20: This is your last day of the Uganda-Rwanda safari; travel in the morning to Entebbe International Airport via the Equator for one hour lunch break and water experiment.
N.B. Your flight should be booked to take off in the evening from Entebbe Airport.
