Itinerary

From your hotel in Entebbe or Kampala, our guide will drive you to Jinja early in the morning. En route to Jinja, you will visit Sezibwa Falls and go through the huge Mabira Forest with a stopover at the Source of the Nile in Jinja for lunch and bungee jumping.
The high bungee on the Nile is one of the most spectacular sights you can imagine. The view from the bungee tower overlooking the source of the world’s longest river is sensational, leading the bungee jumper to dozens of heavily forested islands with flocks of long-tailed cormorants swimming in the swirling currents below and to a troop of Velvet monkeys and crowds of onlookers cheering from the nearby bar.
The highlight of the day will be at Itanda Falls downstream the Nile, where you’ll enjoy a memorable white water rafting adventure, while swerving through swirling high water waves and currents.
After Itanda Falls you’ll proceed to your hotel for the night’s stay and rest after the adventurous day in Jinja. Many travelers opt for another evening adventure on the live streets of Jinja Town.

Take a leisurely tour of Eastern Uganda while en route to Kidepo Valley National Park. You’ll pass through the old colonial town of Jinja, which is the former industrial capital of Uganda and then proceed to Sipi Falls which gives the closest view of Mt. Elgon.
Sitting in the foothills of Mt. Elgon and overlooking a vast plain, Sipi Falls is arguably the most beautiful chain of waterfalls in all of Uganda. The falls have three levels, and though the smaller two are beautiful, it is the 95 metre main drop that attracts visitors to this area and most of Sipi's lodging facilities look over it. It is well worth spending a night or two in this spectacular yet peaceful place whether as part of your Uganda tour or in connection with a climb of the nearby volcano. On your way to Kidepo you could opt to spend a night in Mbale Town for an entertainment and nightlife in the land of the Bamasaba.

After your breakfast you will hit the road to Karamoja. On your way to Kidepo Valley National Park you will visit Nyero Rock Painting site. Nyero rock paintings are prehistoric and they were first documented in 1913. The rock art sites are believed to have been sacred places of the gods. The red and white paintings remain valuable to the people of Teso but they are also mysterious since the painters are not well known.
You will also make stop overs at the Karimojong Cultural villages along the way and arrive at the national park later in the evening as you watch the beautiful sunset. The day will be closed with a camp fire in the wilderness after checking into your lodge.

Take a deep breath and explore the true African wilderness that lies in the rugged, semi-arid valleys of Karamoja Province on the far north-eastern border of Uganda and South Sudan.
After a morning breakfast, you will be briefed by a ranger guide on the program of the day as you set off to look for over 100 bird species in the Kidepo Valley National Park. The Common Ostrich, Secretary Bird, African Swallow-tailed Kite, Eastern Pale Chanting Goshawk, Pygmy Falcon, Fox Kestrel, Stone Partridge, Clapperton's and Heuglin's Francolins, Yellow-necked Spurfowl, Kori, White-bellied and Hartlaub's Bustards, Violet-tipped Courser, Black-headed Plover, Four-banded Sand Grouse, Bruce's Green Pigeon, Rose-ringed Parakeet, White-crested Turaco etc.
Kidepo's mammal list of over 80 species includes 28 species not found in any other Ugandan national park. Amongst these are such charismatic African animals as Bat-eared Fox, Carcal, Cheetah and Klipspringer. There are also healthy populations of Elephant, Common Zebra, Buffalo, Bohor Reedbuck, Waterbuck and Kongoni. Predators are plentiful and Spotted Hyena, Leopard and Lion are frequently seen. The Oribis are abundant in the Narus Valley, whilst the dry thorn thickets in the north are home to Guenther's Dik Dik. The Senegal Galago and Sidestriped Jackal may be found in the rest camp at night and White-tailed Mongoose is common but more likely to be found on a night drive. The park also has a very rich and diverse reptile fauna.
After the two days’ game drives and adventure in Kidepo, many tourists have opted for entertainment from the traditional dances of the Karimojong people – people still rich in culture and traditions.

After six days of a long adventurous experience, you’ll be parking up to depart to Entebbe through Kampala. You will have two options while traveling back to Kampala; to either go through Gulu Town or through Jinja town. Different stopovers along the way will be necessary, especially for shopping for crafts and souvenirs
